We have ours in an Omni Rack console but we think you get the idea.
With 8 channels of Class A pre-amps the mic pre-amps on this board are rarely used. The console is mostly for headphone mix and playback during tracking as we route microphones through any of a selection of our mic pre-amp/compressors.
The Mackie 32 channel 8 bus provides us with a lot of flexibility in playback mix options and if you like specs just click on the link for the mixer.
We use this board for our rehearsal PA out in the main room but have pulled it into the control room for larger projects or out in the field for live recording on the Adats. Check the specs. Both these boards have some very respectable mic pre-amps on board.
